Celebrating Family Project from Catholic Church (England/Wales) on Vimeo. Celebrating Family: Blessed, Broken, Living Loveis the English & Welsh Catholic Bishops' national strategy for supporting marriage and family life, focussing on family-friendly parishes, family spirituality and family faith transmission. (Click on the logos above to find out more.) These priorities are rooted in families' expressed needs of the Church and the Church's understanding of God's desire for families. The Rt Rev John Hine, Auxiliary Bishop in Southwark, is Chair of the Catholic Bishops' Committee for Marriage and Family Life. Staff of the Marriage & Family Life Project Office serve the bishops' Celebrating Family strategy by working closely with diocesan coordinators of family ministry, and others involved in adult formation, evangelisation and catechesis, to make resources, training and practical strategies more widely available. Together the Bishops have successfully fundraised to enable thirteen dioceses to undertake capacity-building family ministry projects, aimed at strengthening parish communities and encouraging families as leaders. The short film above provides a visual testimony to this ground-breaking work. Download the full report.
